Behavior of Boundary Values for Between Operator in Automation Card
Issue and Context:
Hi Team,
A while back we handled a case where the customer’s query was regarding the ‘between’ operator for If / Else Card in automations, where the client’s concern was whether the between operator includes the boundary ranges, or one of them, or neither (excludes them) when a numeric range is provided.
Example:
As in, in the following screenshot, will the If / Else Card include 6, or 10, or both, or neither while execution?
Solution:
Upon checking with our Automation team, we found the answer to be that the “Between” operator will include the boundary ranges too. If the condition says Between 6 and 10 then it will be evaluated to True when the values are 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
