Unable to Edit Permission Templates – Error

When a user reports that they are unable to edit permission templates and encounters the error shown below, it usually indicates a configuration restriction.

Root Cause

  • The ability to edit permission templates is controlled by a billing configuration.

  • If this setting is not enabled, users will see the error and won’t be able to make changes.

Resolution

  1. Reach out to the Billings Team and request them to enable the setting that allows editing of permission templates.

  2. Once the change is confirmed, test by attempting to edit a permission template.

  3. If successful, inform the customer that the issue has been resolved.

  4. If the error still appears after the Billings Team update, escalate to the product/engineering team for further review.
