Behaviour of Origin field for opportunity created via Import

Issue: When checked under manage opportunity page the origin field value is empty

Root cause: The origin field value is blank, in the scenario where opportunity has been created by Opportunity Import.

Solution: As a workaround it is suggested that the “Origin” Parameter is passed while uploading the CSV file for opportunity import and map it to opportunity origin field {this will even help to distinguish the opportunities which are created through import.
Note: This is a system behaviour that when opportunity is created via import operation, there is no value captured for opportunity origin  field.
