“Email Opened” Activity Capture Issue | Email Settings (Outlook)

Issue Reported: 

                              “Email Opened” Activity not captured on the activity history of lead. 


Findings:

                              By default, Outlook restricts the download of attachments (micro-image used for tracking in this case). 

                              This is the case commonly observed across all email providers catering to enterprises. 

                              


Solution:

                             As shown in the image above, you may download the tracking image by clicking the highlighted message. 
                              
                              
            
                             Once downloaded, the tracking history will be sent to the LeadSquared system and activity will be captured. 

                             It is to be noted that this issue only occurs if the recipient’s email account is enterprise-level. 

                              

Note: A generic lead is assumed to have a consumer-level email account.
