Scenario: #
Unpublishing an object type may fail if the object type or any of its fields are still referenced in other work areas. Even if the unpublish option is selected, the action will not proceed until all dependencies have been removed. This ensures that data integrity is maintained and no active configuration breaks as a result of the removal.
RCA: #
- The system now provides complete visibility into where an object type or its fields are in use. This includes associations across Automations, Dynamic Forms, Email Campaigns, Landing Pages, Lists, and other areas.
- When an attempt is made to unpublish an object type that is still linked elsewhere, a popup message is displayed listing the details of these associations. The message acts as a reference so you can track and remove the dependencies before retrying the unpublish action.
Steps to follow: #
-
Navigate to Object Types in Settings.
Locate and select the object type you want to unpublish.
-
When the popup appears, review the details of all associations listed.
-
Delete or unpublish the dependent items one by one.
Retry the unpublish action – it will now proceed successfully.
