Issue: #
While attempting to edit an existing scheduled report in SIERA, the system displays the error “Something went wrong”, preventing the schedule from being updated.
RCA: #
The error occurs when the End Date configured in the scheduled report exceeds the allowed limit of 1 year from the start date.
- During validation, updating the End Date to a date within 365 days (e.g., 30 January 2027) allowed the report to be saved successfully without errors.
- Although SIERA now allows selecting any future date in the UI, the underlying validation still restricts schedules to a 1-year maximum range, which triggers this error.
- Engineering has confirmed that the error message will be updated in future releases to reflect the exact cause.
Corrective Action: #
Update the End Date in the report schedule so that it falls within 1 year from the Start Date. Once corrected, the scheduled report can be saved successfully.
