Sales Group Hierarchy

1 min read

This is a common behaviour in Sales Groups where multiple users are appointed as sales group managers for different groups. For instance, User A & B are appointed as managers of Sales Group “X,” while User B & C are appointed as managers of Sales Group “Y.”

In such cases, the following access rights apply to User A:

1. User A can view leads assigned to all the Users in Sales Group ‘X’.

2. User A can view leads assigned to all the Users in Sales Group ‘Y.’

3. Additionally, User A can also view leads assigned to User C, who is the sales group manager of Sales Group ‘Y’ along with User B.

Now, let’s consider the scenario where A is assigned as the Sales Group Manager of CRM_A, along with Dean Lopez. Dean Lopez is also a manager for two more sales groups, CRM_B and CRM_C, along with users B and C, respectively.

In this case, A has view access to leads/opportunities assigned to all the users in the three sales groups, which are CRM_A, CRM_B, and CRM_C.

Additionally, A can also view leads assigned to users B and C .

This  feature of sales group is called as Group Hierarchy where Sales Group Managers have hierarchal access as well.
