User Replacement API for User Deactivation

Automation team has now access to the User replacement API(for Internal use only, cannot be shared with the customer).

What is User Replacement API?
#

  1. This API will replace the users in existing Automations in 1-go and reduce the manual effort which was earlier required for user deactivation.

Please get the below details from Clients before reaching out to Automation Team.
Template for getting the required details from Clients:

Our product team will require all the below details for replacing the users in Automation:

1. List of users supposed to be deactivated

2. List of users who will be replacing the deactivated users.

3. Auth token:

How to get Authtoken?

  1. Go to Reports page & click on the file icon, then you will get one URL. This URL will contain the authtoken.


  1. In new UI/Marvin, there is no option to get auth token from Reports page. As a workaround, we can get it from Favourite Reports: 

Will this API deactivate the users as well? #

  1. No. The API will only replace the users in Automations.

Once the user replacement is successful, the Admin users will get notified via email. Post that, they can go ahead and deactivate the user directly from Manage users page.
