# Wrong source captured by UTM parameters

**Issue: **User was trying to test his landing page and **UTM parameters** kept capturing source as **'Direct Traffic'** all the time.

**Reason: **Leadsquared uses **cookies **to store **UTM parameters.** So when a visitor lands on a landing page the source is stored in the cookie that is placed in his browser. The first source that gets captured in a cookie is the lead source. In this case, when he opened the landing page the first time, the source was captured as **'Direct Traffic'** and stored in a cookie. Since that **cookie wasn't cleared from the system**, the test data that he entered into the landing page form every time was captured as 'Direct traffic'.

**Resolution:** **Clear the cookies and cache** in the browser or use **an incognito window** while testing the landing pages.

You can also try in a **new browser.**
